What affects custom patch pricing?
Formula, patch size, materials, print and specialist finishes, pack count, packaging and order volume all affect the quote. Use the custom calculator for an estimate, then confirm sample/development costs and shipping in a written project quote.
Can you make scent-only patches or use our essential-oil blend?
Both scent-only patches and nutraceutical patches with scent can be discussed. We can assess customer-supplied blends for incorporation during manufacturing and customized sealed packaging. Blank patches for customers to add oils themselves are not offered.
Are my formula and artwork exclusive to my brand?
Discuss ownership and exclusivity before development. These are contractual terms; custom development does not automatically establish exclusive rights. Your designer supplies the artwork.
What quality documents and testing are included?
Confirm the relevant manufacturing facility and documentation for your project. Batch composition COAs are supplied to customers after a signed NDA and purchase order. Formula-specific human-use, absorption, stability and skin-irritation studies are not included; independent testing, when required, is commissioned and paid for by the customer.
What can I customise on a patch?
Discuss the formula, patch size and shape, aroma, printed design, texture, substrate, liner and packaging. Full-colour print, foil inlays and thermochromic print can also be explored. The final specification is subject to feasibility and production review.
What is the minimum order for a custom formula?
Custom production is generally based on a 300 m² coated-film minimum per formula. The number of finished patches depends on the size, shape and layout, so the quote should confirm the finished yield rather than assume a fixed patch count.
Are formulation samples the same as printed prototypes?
No. Formulation samples are typically three US-letter-size adhesive film sheets for formula and adhesive evaluation. They are unprinted, uncut, uncoloured and unperforated. Print samples show the look and feel of the finished patch on blank film without active ingredients. These are separate sample processes.
How long do samples and production take?
Formulation samples typically take 4–5 weeks after formula confirmation. Print samples typically take 3–4 weeks after artwork confirmation. A full custom production run ships in approximately 8 weeks, subject to the confirmed scope and sample review. Confirm the project schedule before placing an order.
